Hoping for a sequel where we get late 70s Dylan

That's where I first discovered Dylan, with the great 1979 Slow Train Coming album, led by the bluesy/gospel-ish groove, Gotta Serve Somebody. So, that electronic sound is my baseline Dylan era.

It wasn't until the 90s that really discovered/delved into his folk/acoustic early beginnings, which he is actually most famous for. Those lyrics in that era were so poetic and thought-povoking.

I've never been a Bob Dylan fan but I thought this was a great movie and surprisingly really enjoyed the music. TC also made the radical choice to sing BD's lyrics clearly. A choice that greatly enhanced my enjoyment

For anyone wanting to know more about this time in Dylan’s career, check out No Direction Home, directed by Martin Scorsese. I can’t recommend it enough, it is excellent.

I'm just a mild Dylan fan; not smart enough to get all the lyrics. Spouse and I saw the movie and both loved it. The pace is good, with no slow spots in the middle like you encounter so often. All of the music was great, making it well worth seeing in the theater.

I think there were six people in our theater, which made it extra nice.

Al Grossman is the manager character. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out how I knew the actor. It's Dan Fogler, who I knew as the crazy uncle on The Goldbergs. He was also music teacher Luke on The Walking Dead, but I don't even remember him from that.

I thought it was a decent film. Chalamet did really well playing Dylan. The movie just didn't have much story or character development for anyone. It was mostly Chalamet just showing up somewhere and starts singing. Not much else to offer.

I’m told he did his own singing in the film, it’s hard to accurately sound like Dylan, and Dylan’s voice fits his music perfectly.

Not a Dylan fan at all, but want to see this. Apparently, they did a really good job making this a period piece.

Just saw this and thought it was solid. Not a big Chalamet guy, but he was really good in this doing his own guitar playing and singing. Thought Norton and Holbrook were good too.

Looked pretty seamless to me. I really enjoyed it. That entire Llewyn Davis/Mrs. Maizel time period is great to walk around in. Chalamet did a great job. The other "impressions" (Seger, Johnny Cash) were kept low-key enough to avoid being parody. Elle Fanning is always great.

My dad’s been bugging me to watch this movie and gave me a couple of his Dylan albums on vinyl to listen to. He’s seen it a few times already so guessing it was worthwhile. He’s pretty much a classic rock historian and cynical when it comes to movies so surprised he liked it that much.
Gonna give it a watch tonight
