Can you imagine if you were put on a planet (such as earth 65 million years ago) inhabited by meat eating dinosaurs? Seems like that would be an entertaining movie, not to be taken too seriously.

Pretty sure that was filmed in Kisatchie.

I mean, dinosaurs have been pretty saturated for the last 30 years, too. Velocipastor is the obvious example, but I know there have been others.

Wait, so is this technically a sequel or prequel to Planet of the Apes?

I mean, it literally says in the trailer "65 million years ago...the search for a new world...led to pre-historic Earth." So at the very least it seems to be set in the past, not sure about the human part since it would be 10's of millions of years before humans.
Yeah I’m not sure how everyone seems to have missed that they gave away that twist in the trailer
They are basically just smashing Jurassic park and planet of the apes together.
I assume there will be an even bigger twist like the asteroid that takes out the dinosaurs ends up being the rescue ship or something, because otherwise it’s kind of silly to remove all the tension/unknown of what is happening and spoil it in the trailer like that.

Why is the movie called 65?

Yes, because Jurassic world already show me something similar on the big screen. They even show deadlier dinosaurs on the big screen and demoted the mighty T-Rex. And in this new Adam Driver movie, the T-Rex is the apex.
For me as a movie goer, this dude is having a harder time than Christ Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard? The woman ran away form a T-Rex in heels!
So yeah, disappointed by the reveal that it is dinosaurs for real.

I have questions.
Are we dealing in time travel or a Prometheus scenario?
Looks decent enough. I'll go see it.
*If this is truly Earth 65 mya, I'd be watching the sky as much as I was looking out for the local critters.

That's my feeling as well. But curious how it ends up playing out. I have this funny scene playing in my head where Adam Driver is like "I need air support!!"
:Air support wipes out all existence on the planet:

This movie hit on so many points but leveled off at the end.
Minimal cast made it a bit different, but all parts were well played.
I get there was going to be a bunch of stuff happening because 'the movie NEEDED it to happen', but man, I feel the writers mailed it in at the ending.
The name alone told me the urgent need to get off the planet, or else. That was baked in.
They could have done so much more with the dinosaurs, so that was disappointing.
Still, a decent watch.

This is my big complaint. Outside of the final scene, dinosaurs were just nuisances for the most part.
The twist became evident pretty early.
If I saw it on Netflix I would have thought it was a nice one. Meh for a theater movie but I like original movies and dinosaur movies. 6.5/10

The "undocumented asteroid" that crashed his ship.

Just got out. It was pretty boring to
Be honest. I just didn’t care about any of the characters.

I gave my $ and I'm good with it. Sort of reminded me of the movie (no, not the TV series) '*Outlander', where the stranger interacts with a bunch of Vikings.
*Outlander is a 2008 science fiction fantasy action horror film written and directed by Howard McCain, and starring Jim Caviezel, Sophia Myles, Jack Huston, John Hurt, and Ron Perlman.

Did you watch it at home, or in a theater?

Theater. Crazy how much a matinee showing cost these days.
