Sweet.

Sent in my noms, I hope someone picks up the slack, I haven't seen crap this year (and since I won't nominate stuff I haven't seen) I have either really obvious films (Dark Knight, Iron Man) and really small films (In Bruges, Funny Games) where i think they deserve mention. Out of the big Oscar movies, I have only seen Benjamin Button and Doubt. I've been slacker when it comes to film lately.

On a side note, I do think In Bruges deserves far more praise than it gets, and hope it dominates.

So far 8 people have voted including myself.

I was given In Bruges for Christmas and need to watch it to see if it adjusts my voting.
Does anyone know if the Wrestler will be released in Baton Rouge soon?

So far the category with the most different nominations is Worst Actress Performance in which 13 names have been turned in, but noone has been listed twice. This should be an interesting category.

You got mine, right? I'm seeing Gran Torino this weekend and might change some noms based on that.

I was lucky that the Wrestler came out when I was in DC. Got to see it opening week.

Wow, I just watched that shitty movie and Mark Wahlberg's voice was extremely annoying.

No we did 2007 movies last year. See the first page for the winners.

What do you mean "made up categories" Most of them are the same ones that the award shows use, along with some for the worst stuff.

Best actor - Mickey Rourke in the Wrestler.

Without a doubt the best performance I've seen in five years. This guy WAS Randy the Ram.

I'm sure Sean Penn was good in Milk, but Mickey Rourke's performance was absolutely amazing.
