14 Peaks star Nims Dai believed to have been caught in an avalanche

10 went missing and 4 bodies have been recovered.
Purja, 43, a Nepal-born former soldier in the British army widely known as Nims Dai, was the expedition leaded. He climbed the world's 14 highest peaks in a record 189 days in 2019, an achievement featured in the Netflix documentary, "14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible." His record was surpassed in 2023.

Oh man that is not good. 14 peaks was awesome and Nims is the ultimate badass. Feels like Mother Nature always ends up winning against these elite of the elite climbers eventually.

Maybe this time, instead of being only 50% fricked he is well and truly 100% fricked.
Really hate that for the guy. Bodhi would know, as well. Every now and then, Mother Nature likes to remind us just how small we truly are.

A reminder that it's very real out there.
I saw Everest in the theater, and as awe inspiring as it is, I'll never fully understand the draw. You can't help but see it in how these climbers talk about going there and being a part of all that, but damn, it's so consuming. Much respect.
