i don't think their size scale is very good. i'm sure nerds online will be analyzing that with charts within a week

also, these movies spend WAY too much time with silly backstories for some reason. this movie ramps up the last shitty godzilla movie's lore 10x it seems

I kinda like the fact they're tying it all back to the cave paintings from Kong: Skull Island.

Kong is obviously too damn big. He was big for his own kind, 50 years ago, and now he's double that size.

The little girl and her 'connection' to Kong feels a bit contrived too. I mean, I guess, but isn't Kong centuries old? So some girl shows up for a minute in his life, and all of a sudden, they've bonded ?

But the battle ax Kong 'made?', that's possibly taking it a bridge too far. Feels very 'Storm Breaker'-esque. It seems to be a part of Godzilla's dorsal fin, but will somehow have just the right power qualities that Kong can use to defeat Godzilla. Umm, ok?

I really hope they pay off the line about Madison Russell talking about something not feeling right, and another saying he agrees. There has to be another angle they're not revealing.

Seriously, how does this get so many down votes?? 8 ?? I don’t see the problem here. Care to explain it?

Guess the cowards don't wanna even discuss.

Well, yeah. It's a trailer.

A trailer that isn't good. It's concerning that Warner/Legendary marketing thought the coolest edit for this would be "Have Rebecca Hall over-explain. Cue trash soundtrack."

The trailer is fine. It dispels ( or hides ) many of the so called leaks that have come out over the past year.

One of the big complaints about King of the Monsters was that too much of the movie was revealed with too many trailer scenes. This one is a nice mix. If they show much more in the next couple of months, it could end up ruining it for viewers.

Songs in trailers seldom make it to the movies. Don't recall hearing Clair De Lune in KOTM, yet everyone universally hailed it as an amazing piece when it came out.

They stated in Kong: Skull Island that Kong was very young and would probably get much bigger. It looks like they captured Kong for the express purpose of pitting him against Godzilla, who has apparently gone rogue and is destroying everything. I have a theory about that....it’s not really Godzilla. It’s Mecha-Godzilla.

Umm... only that's never been the story in the original KvG.

I do like the explanation, but honestly, in this world, the ability to manufacture a massive mecha-godzilla that fools everyone to thinking it's the actual Godzilla, seems way out of phase. There's simply no technology ( or resources ) to pull this stuff off. The Argo, massive underwater bases, are one thing, but a mobile, agile and realistic kaiju ?

I guess we'll see.
