I think the only bad CGI in the trailer is the dragon, but I think jackson may have done this on purpose. I believe his masterful creation of smaug he is keeping pretty secrete he wanted to show a image of the dragon that made people excited but didn't reveal to much. I be shocked if the dragon doesn't look better than this in the movie.

plus the image of the dragon was very dark, so it is very difficult to make out the details of his body.
