giant spiders will be a major part of the movie. Probably 20 to 30 min of it. It takes up a good bit and this movie has to expand things in the book to extend it to three movies.

Yea I haven't read the book in probably a decade, but that damn spider is about all I remember outside of a few other parts. It's a monster part of the story if not the focal point for a majority of it.

They'll find a way to minimalize it in the film, IMO, but it will still be very prevelant.

according to a website that sums the chapters the spider is an important part with the relationship between bilbo and the dwarfs. He also reveals something big to them

They're expanding on Gandalf leaving the group in the Mirkwood(where the spiders come in) to travel to Dol Gulder to fight the Necromancer

I thought the voice of the Elf King was Cumberbatch at first. I wondered why it wasn't as strong and powerful as in Star Trek.

I didn't know it was a Paramount flick.

I think the only bad CGI in the trailer is the dragon, but I think jackson may have done this on purpose

People always say that what is seen in the trailer will look better in the final product. Can you give me one example when this was the case? I remember during Wolverine everyone said that was early CGI and it would be cleaned up in the final product.

someone tell me the issue is with the CGI in the trailer, everything looked great from my viewing.

the view of the dragon is very limited I wouldn't consider that bad CGI if that is what you guys are referring to.

I thought it looked great. It's good to see legolas cursing dwarves again.
