The first movie had to be slow to set up the other 2. I still enjoyed it and think the next 2 are going to be fantastic

It didn't bother me that much. It definitely wasn't Lord of the Rings level, but I do remember some scenes being very similar to the book. Looks like they might be taking a little more liberty with this one

I don't know why after such a good mix of makeup, props, sets, cgi, and so on
They got so heavy handed with cgi for this series. I still like the first one and will probably like this one, but it is slightly disappointing

I'll never get why people hate on CGI as long as it's good CGI. For instances, I remember people shitting bricks when they converted Yoda from puppet to CGI. Personally, I thought he looked more "realistic" and natural when CGIed then as that silly puppet. I want to see a badass little green guy, not a cheap arse Muppet knockoff.
