I love the show but did not like last nights episode. Ollie shouldn't have been able to kill merlyn, they are going real slow bringing Roy along, and then tommy does after coming back to the good side. The worst part I think was no cliff hangers just bam city explodes that's it see you next year, Roy is the only person that didn't wrap up his part.

That's why I'm glad that arc was slower. Let Roy be a bigger deal in season 2.

Also, don't forget how much is still going on in the flashbacks. Only Fryers and Chang are dead. Slade, Shado and mystery boss woman are still there.

I felt kinda like you at first last night with the Merlyns dying but then I realized what I stated above plus:

-Tommy dying to save Laurel revives the Tommy/Laurel/Ollie love triangle but with one corner dead which makes it way more complicated for Ollie.

-Malcolm COULD still be alive. I know he looked pretty dead but don't rule it out.

This. He ain't dead, IMO. My guess is he'll return later, blaming Oliver for Tommy's death somehow.

I really didn't think they were going to kill off Tommy. My expectation was that Olliver would kill Malcolm, then Tommy would run off and train with The League of Shadows (or the like) & come back as a character similar to the Merlyn in the comics. Still, (presumably) without the Merlyn's around, there's a lot to explore in Season 2. The actor who plays Deathstroke has been upgraded to a full cast member for Season 2, so we can only assume that Deathsroke may make his way to Starling City at some point. Not really sure how Roy Harper gets woven into the larger story for next season, but I am eager to see how they do it.

I'm very relieved that they didn't do this. It took Malcolm two years in Parbat and Ollie five on the island to become what they are.

It would've been bad writing to have Tommy take a summer to train and go from playboy to assassin so unless they were going to have Tommy not show up for season two and three, its better to just let him go out a hero.

He's dead. Diggle stayed behind, he would have shot that mofo.

I wonder where the storyline can go now that most of the Glades has been leveled? I know they're going to keep doing the flashbacks and all, which is fine with me, because I like them.

But with the Big Bad of the notebooks out of commission, doesn't it make the rest of the names a little insignificant? Or does he keep going after them?

Also, I wonder if they're going to slowly evolve the characters into an actual super hero team. Roy is definitely on his way, but what about Laurel? Will Felicity just stay in her same role, or will it expand?

My guess is the boss lady from the flashbacks will come into play in the present now. I'm pretty sure Ollie made reference to the notebook being worthless now.

Of course it makes sense that he'd be dead but you know how this genre is with villain deaths.

This has the potential to not be true if, for example, there was someone or group above Malcolm pulling his strings such as in the Batman Begins scenario. There's always a way to make someone relevant.

I thought the final was great. I wasn't expecting a second nuke planted. I figured it would be like most super hero type movies where they save the day but that wasn't the case on this one.

Can't wait for season 2 and what they have in store for it.

Fantastic finale, had everything I could ask for in regards to ending the season. Wasn't expecting them to kill off Tommy, 2nd half of the season I kept thinking that in season 2 he'd become a villain of sorts
