Naw
I’m pro Zion and pro Duke.
Just because i grew up in NC and everyone and their mother went to UNC and NC state
And I’m a bit salty that UNC declined me.
Pretty envious of your school. You see a title when you went there?

I camped out in 2004 (UNC and MD) and 2005 (UNC). In the 2005 game, Felton turned it over in the final seconds and the crowd went wild, obviously.
The Tar Heels won the second game and won the title in April though.

What’s the deal with camping out?
What are the rules?
And as far as I know it still goes on right?
When i was at SC it was all online but i know a few of the older people before us said they had to camp out at one point

It’s gotten a little more time consuming recently from what I understand.
When I was there, there were two sign-up dates. You would sign up in groups of 12. About 300 people would go for the early period. More people had to camp out at night and you had to it for 4-5 weeks. My friends and I opted for the later period, which had maybe 900-1000 people. One person had to be in the tent at all times for 2 weeks. This meant that essentially everyone spent one night sleeping in the tent alone. On weekends, they would let everyone leave at 2 AM so it was basically just a fun party from 9 to 2 AM.
So the rest of the time, I would probably spend 3 hours every other day, for 2 weeks. It wasn’t too much of a hassle.
My freshman year (and the years before that), there was a shorter period with similar rules for the Maryland game. I think that was only one week though. After that, MD started to taper off and the only tenting game was UNC. I know it was like that for almost a decade. I do winder if UVA will become a tenting game.
For every other game, you could just wait outside the night before a game for less than an hour and get really good tickets. Or just show up the night of, as long as it wasn’t a huge game.

K-Ville (the name of the "tent city) have very specific rules set up by student government. There is an actual line monitoring committee. Each tent (maximum of 100 tents) represents 12 students. During the first 2 weeks there has to be 2 students during the day and 10 at night, the monitoring committee checks this. Over time the requirements go down. There are quite specific rules and it was enforced well when I was there. If you are interested I am sure you can learn all you want by searching K-ville Duke.
The rules have changed a lot since I was there in the 90s, they have added a quiz to get into the top 70 tent slots.
It is a huge social event. I have seen tents kicked out for missing their check tents just a week or so before the game.
Here is a link to the "rules" if you care to read them.

Best college player money could buy, I mean Kansas couldn't afford him?

Lol. salty tarheel fan in here of course. Zion looked 10x better last night than anyone who has played for north carolina in the last 30 years. Heels ACC and NCAA championship dreams flushed down the toilet when he stepped on that court last night.
Vince Carter would like a word, dumbass.
