Incorrect. So says my property tax bill I receive each year, wherein more than half of what I pay goes to Zachary Community Schools.

And so does mine, so I agree, ZCS should put that info out there. Let me just say, again, it isn't as much as people think. Just compare where Howell, Lemoine and Drake all live.

Supposedly, Sid is working on his cert.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you can teach in the public schools for up to five years as long as you are working towards your cert. Sid has only been in the public schools for what 2-3 years?

right and he will have to get it to keep his job. Central and every other school in the state has minimum criteria they have to meet to get their state and federal matching dollars and a major part of that criteria is staff qualifications. even private schools are moving towards having all of their staff certified for accreditation and budget purposes

Neil Weiner is the play for Zachary. Lots of success at PC Catholic and carried it over to Central as they made a Semi-Final run in 5A. Great offensive mind who has been a head coach before and his dad's reputation doesn't hurt his chances either. I want to see the short list like everyone else but Weiner has to be on it.

Even the people I know who live in Central think Zachary's next head coach will be Sid.

I live outside both Central and Zachary, and let me say that Zachary is a 10x better job than Central will ever be. The job pays more, the facilities are second to none (The President thought the field was for a JUCO). The community is great. Your going to make the playoffs every year with that soft district. I could go on and on. Zachary > Central in every way possible. Edwards could build a dynasty at Zachary High School.

Even if Zachary went to 4-5A, the only tough teams are Catholic and Central. You take Edwards away from Central and they are below-par once again. Sid gets great people around him and that is why he is such a great coach.

Hold on now, Central is merely two years removed from being part of that disgrace knwon as the EBRPSBS. We paid taxes for years with nothing in return as far a facility upgrades. Central has done everything so far to allow themselves to establish a top notch program.

So is Central, and the schools there will be right on par with Zachary.

and exactly why couldn't he do this at Central? Seems to me he is on the right track in just two years..............

Have you looked at Central's jv and freshman teams? they are pretty bad. After next yet Central won't be very good. A friend of mine who graduated from Redemptorist in '05 said their jv team lost like 1 game in 3 years and the freshman never lost more than 2 a season. You have to reload to have a dynasty, and splitting from EBR probably killed Central's chances since the best players on the team this year were kids from other attendance zones where kids can no longer come in from.

Are you kidding me? That is just stupid. Central has long had their local talent diluted because of parents sending the better players to private schools, a direct result of Central schools being part ot the EBRPSBS. Take a look around at good players from Central on successful private school teams. And the kids on Central's team this year resided in Central's district.

Central is only two years in on its own Bro, not hardly a "Dynasty"..............
