Devils are like florida of last year -great record from regular season hockey. They can’t make noise in the playoffs

They shouldn’t even be in this series if not for the Rangers offensive ineptitude

Yeah, just too young. They are a year ahead of schedule really.

All four Devils penalty killers were within ten feet of the left boards on that goal. No wonder unspellable name was able to just waltz right down the right slot and put that past Schmid.

Maybe I should just call him eyechart. If you want to find out who the bad teams in the NHL are just look for the ones with a lot of Smiths and Jones on their rosters.

I wouldn't go that far. They were definitely faster than the Rangers. They were also better at making the Rangers try to play their game than the Rangers were at making the Devils play theirs. Rangers goalie did deserve better though.

Carolina is going to be a tough out for anyone remaining

New Jersey's problem is they only know one way to play and it is the same way Carolina plays and Carolina does it better than they do. Someone needs to tell them that dumping and chasing the puck into the zone is not a penalty. They keep trying to carry the puck into the Hurricanes zone. The Hurricanes keep standing them up at the blue line and forcing them to turn the puck over and then it is off to the races the other way.

I'm not sure they have the firepower to get through a team like Toronto or Edmonton especially with three of their top forwards out for the playoffs. If they do play the Oilers or the Leafs they better stay out of the box and play five on five. Their power play isn't in the same galaxy as those two teams.

The reason I picked Devils to win the series at the beginning.

I think it will catch up to them some time or another. Devils are a good matchup for them. Hughes and Meier are their only real snipers and Meier has been ice cold throughout the playoffs. There are a lot of other teams out there with more explosive offenses.

Carolina just blowing the game out of the water.

Will be interested to see what happens when home ice flips. But have to think carolina will dominate.

What a blowout

I thought Devils were done after going down 0-2 last time but this seems different. It's not even close.
