Idiots.

How many people on this board do you think have run a laser timed 40?

Plus, it was during track season and so I ran it on the track with my spikes on.

Same here. Maybe that's a northern thing? All of us baseball guys and track guys ran the 40 during preseason if you were a sprinter. This was in Omaha, NE fwiw.

That 4.55 would have been the 15th fastest time for a corner back at the combine last year.

Can't a white guy be fast?

I clocked myself six months ago and run a 4.83 now.

5.0+ in my teens and I was flying.

These OLinemen that weigh 330 lbs and are timed at 5.1 - that is ridiculous. A lot of these guys have trouble getting from here to there and I am supposed to believe that they are running a 40 in 5 flat? Riiiiight.

I'm only 5'8". I wouldn't have made a very good CB in college.

Not many. There should not be many answers to this thread. Hand times are added .24 or .26 seconds for them to count in some cases. Only FAT systems are accepted for most times though.

It would have been the 13th fastest runningback time.

4.65 hand-timed in HS. No idea what laser-timed would have showed, but probably much slower.

That's also laser timed. I've seen as much as a .3 difference between hand-laser timed I'm sure my PR would have been somewhere around a 4.8 on a laser. We had a legit 4.4 guy on our baseball team that went on to play football at Nebraska and I was nowhere close to as fast as he was

My football coach also coached the track team sprinters and he just wanted to frick around one day. Our track team was a joke. We'd literally practice our 4x100 handoffs and go home. I was so glad I dropped baseball for it.

Exactly. We didn't use laser timed systems in HS. Basically we'd line up on one end of the field and coach would be 40 yards down field with a stop watch.

I highly doubt I ran a 4.55 but that's what I clocked in as. I probably ran a 4.7 or 4.8 in actuality. I was fast I know that.

Our track team was beast. We had the best football/track stadium in Nebraska which is why at the time the football state championship game was held there as well as track and field championship which is still held there.

Hey...that's what I clocked in as. This thread didn't ask what system was used, it just asked what our fastest 40 time was.

My fastest was 4.55!
