On another note, Garnett led the NBA in rebounding 4 years in a row.
He & Chris Webber are the 2 best passing PF's ive ever seen as well.

I don't think people are knocking KG specifically, just that there seem to be better ways to spend your money.
He's only $1 and he's better than the players that are $5 and $4

Remember those Western Conference all-star teams lead by Shaq and KG? They were SICK!!1

The number of people taking Kevin Garnett is blowing my mind.
He isn't being taken as the best PF in history, he's complementing the chosen players while keeping to the hypothetical value system.
But you underestimate his value anyway. Great rebounder, nice jump shot, fierce defender, with the career stats quoted above.

I dont believe I have seen anyone mention Charles Barkley, what's up with that. Can the round mound of rebound get any love?

You could make a strong argument that he was the best of the PF during his prime.

I'll take the 3 guys lower than him for less $

Damn, that's worth a thread of its own.
If we are going by traditional starting 5's
Jordan
Bird
Duncan
Stockton
Dream

I guess my argument is that Duncan, and more specifically, Nowitzki, seem to be more complimentary to these teams.
I don't mean to imply that he is expensive at $1.

Yeah, that one is a bit more tricky although that lineup is loaded.

I give Duncan the nod for best PF in history but believe me I wouldn't complain about prime KG
