You can get better going to the NBA than staying in college

Say someone needs the money right away. They arent worried about where they are drafted. You will improve your game more in the span of say 2 years by going to the NBA than by staying in college. True or false?
I say true. Specialized coaches, concentrating solely on basketball, nutritionists, practicing against the best....

definitely true
1. you learn the NBA game, not the college game
2. you get professional physical development
3. you get professional coaching, and a lot more of it if you want it. college is limited to vastly inferior coaches and 20 hour/week limits

I would say it is true for those who make it, the question is it beneficial for those that are borderline? Will the pros cut a guy loose, whereas a couple of more college years might have been beneficial?

The fact is they need to become good enough to actually get drafted and stick with an NBA team.
If not, the question is, do you get better in a minor league or in college?

Assuming you are good enough to make a team and they invest in you yes, but in some cases guy's aren't good enough coming strait out of HS and need to develop more.

Buried on a bench not playing and only getting practice time vs playing in games that mean something....
I am going to say false here... going to college most guys first get into a real weightroom and lift. And alot of coaches depending on school you go to can help you develop and work on your deficiencies. Plus all the school's who have Olympic conditioning coaches where the guy can get stronger.
You go sit in on bench and basically become a practice body you can be soon forgot and end up in Europe.
