Yea, if you want to get your mind blown, just go read the comment sections of any controversial article on espn, yahoo, or any other big website
They make this board look like Christmas morning

no i'm just calling their emotional thinking insanity, as it should be called
It's clearly emotional but calling it insanity is still you substituting your sensibilities for theirs.
It shows a lack of human empathy as well. I mean "insanity"...come on. They were offended by his comments and that is "insanity"?

i'll respond. what seterling told his gf does not affect their lives in any way
On a intelectual level I agree with this, it doesn't. The national story that HIS words created clearly has affected their lives though agree?

I try to always avoid comment sections on sites, because people let the pure tard out.

ok let me rephrase. other than the new set of questions from reporters, their lives aren't different
and flipping out about this will just add MORE of that change into their lives, so it's not like it's helping
you have to remember i believe protesting is seen in a halcyon view of the 60s/70s but is really counter-productive, especially today. it often highlights really negative variables both of and on your side (which are often ignored, assuming your movement is on the right side of the media). i felt the same for OWS as i did for the bundy situation that just occurred as i do about this protest.
i reject the ignorance that forms around "good" protest, like the hypocrisy (or ignorance) of the players and doc rivers. just like i rejected the sovereign-esque citizens who showed up to help bundy, or his refusal to properly work within the system to resolve his issues about fees. it's tough to discuss this re: OWS b/c they were just pure fricking disorganized insanity

how? i fully understand their irrationality and emotional thinking. i still reject it as stupid, hypocritical, and/or ignorant

by increasing the media presence? sure. their actions will only make this worse. it won't solve any issues created by his comments

fun fact. on my old (pre-td) forum, there was this HUGE neo-nazi white supremacist guy
at some point, he flipped the switch and is now a big internet warrior against racism (and other urban-liberal causes, being anti-hunting being the biggest one). watching him freak out on facebook about these comments, while i have screen shots of him dropping n-bombs like they're going out of style, is amazing to me

I disagree
But I get it coming from you since you said you were like rust cohle

That's a huge distraction from their postseason quest. Not to mention it's already starting to come out that agents are saying they'll discourage players from signing with LAC in the future. Their lives are affected.

How have ANY of the players or coaches flipped out? A silent protest involving tshirts and socks? Come on now. Flipping out would be, say, refusing to play or going on lengthy tirades to the media. The Clippers have handled this admirably as a team.

I scares me that there are many people in the world that are just plain dumb, but at the same time think they are so smart

Why do they or anyone have to remember what YOU believe?
Why do the players or anyone for that matter have to remember what you believe but you don't take into account their beliefs?
This is not a issue like does the sun orbit the earth that breaks down only on facts.
This is clearly an issue that has many emotional and life experciennce factors as well that should be part of the discussion.
I'm not even saying you are wrong but dismiss the reaction of the players as "insanity" simply because they don't share the same beliefs as you while you have incredibly different lives that shaped those beliefs is petty at best./

I can get on board with this.

they did their protest, they cancelled practice tomorrow, etc. and we all know this isn't going to die
the best revenge is living well. that's my personal philosophy. ignoring the situation b/c it is so irrelevant and has no power/effect is the proper response in my eyes. if you want to show x-behavior has no effect on you, then don't give a response.

because i'm smarter than them and logical thinking should be celebrated, not emotional thinking
plus i will obviously believe my opinion is the correct opinion, or else i wouldn't have it
quote:

and the question is if logic or emotion should lead your decision making. i choose logic

in my world, a logical world, there would be no racism
in their world, an emotional world, racism thrives
their choice

I have a question got you. As a black man would you rather someone that is racist hide and just be racist in secret or would you rather they tell you so you can avoid them? I know that if someone doesn't like me for any reason I would much rather them tell me so I can decide how I want to deal with them and I cannot stand people that don't like me but smile in my face. It may be different when it comes to racism which is why I am asking.

Cancelling practice will actually cause no media interaction between the players. They won't have to answer the same questions over and over before or after practice

Is that due to the players for the Clippers or the media and the NBA's decision to wait before making a decision?
*I'm fine with the NBA taking some time to discuss what would be appropriate here
