I'm looking forward to this over the XFL. When you consider they are staring a year earlier and they already have a tv contract with CBS. Makes much better sense. They will have the markets and stadiums locked up before VKM.

he does seem to have a better plan vs the new XFL, where Vince only seems to know his players will be standing for the anthem

Along with good football and names the local market knows, Ebersol said a hallmark of the league will be no TV timeouts and 60 percent fewer commercials, as well as an innovative approach to broadcasting.

like it

There also will be no kickoffs (the ball will be placed automatically at the 25-yard line)

no onside kicks. The losing team will just start on its own 35-yard line with fourth-and-10.

Where's our arena league expert Sinaju? Tell me how these leagues will succeed when Arena football is down to 4 teams and indoor football is declining

Not an expert, of course. Just a fan.

Well to be fair to the AFL, it has been around for 30 years, and these leagues haven't played a down yet.

But still, the simplest answer is probably best - most people just like outdoor football better. Or don't like indoor football at all.

Even during the failed XFL season, they were drawing more than double what the AFL was during its height. And there were not many sell outs, so it wasn't arena capacity holding them back.

I love the indoor game, but these new leagues will crush them in interest and attendance, even if they fail.
