Yesterday, for the first time, I was able to watch quite a bit of the Tampa Bay/Seattle game. I hope those 2 teams are at the bottom of the league because it was BAD football.

The QB play was awful. Please tell me that not all of the teams in this league are that bad.

I like the new rules but the product was pretty shitty.

I actually think putting some teams in cities that don't have an NFL team could work if you have some type of stadium they could play in. I would love to have a team in Charleston or somewhere close.

If the XFL wanted Florida they should have done Orlando in the soccer stadium

1st half was dreadful, but 2nd half was entertaining.

They need to just go full option spread with flowers.

Both games he’ll take them most of the way down the field and then they’ll shove the other QB in there and stall the drive

Tampa is most likely worst team in league. Seattle is still a question.

Outside of Cordale Jones most the Qbs in the league struggle to throw for 150 yds and complete 50%.

As much as people want the XFL to succeed football is now a passing game. Games will not be watchable if they can’t get better QB play.

Through 6 games no qb has thrown for over 300 yds and teams are only avg 17 points a game.

Perhaps, but I think when the XFL cities were announced the AAF was still a thing, right? No way were they going to try and squeeze two spring football leagues into Orlando.

Yeah every team should play at MLS/mid major college stadium and other than NY/LA all cities shouldn’t also have NFL teams.

No one is saying this league needs a Brady. But these QBs also aren’t going against NFL defenses.

How long will the response “it’s week (insert current week) be an excuse? Will it soon turn to “Its just the first season?”

Like it or not, between college football and the NFL, the tv market for football in general is probably maxed out.

I’m not sure when that “excuse” runs out but I will say it isn’t before 1.5 weeks into the first season.

Another league could work but they should start it in like June and have the title game the week before college starts. That’s when people are hungry for football again and there’s already a hole in the sports calendar there unless you’re a baseball junkie.

AAF tried the new market route and it did not yield the results they wanted.

Seattle and DC had great crowds/atmospheres

I agree. Just pointing out that the QB play will be the biggest determining factor for how successful the league will be. Fans Iike exciting plays. Running into the middle of a couple guys and then missing a simple dump off pass will not hold fans attentions. Without some of the new rules that significantly impact field position in the XFL how much lower would these scores be?
