alex smith should have NEVER been drafted where he was. Probably the luckiest son of a bitch in the world to come out the year he did

They were dogs because they went to bad teams where they did not have good coaching and developed bad habits.
You really think that Alex Smith would have done anything anywhere else?

plenty of teams have veteran QB's just in case the starter goes down.
ie, Denver had Chris Simms with a 3mm/yr contract even though they had Cutler at the time.

Trent Dilfer could then why not Alex Smith... had he come out and gone to a different team with a better coach, more stable management system, a better offensive line, and some help at receiver. He would probably still be starting QB, not saying he would be Hall of Fame but he would be decent.

We will see Garcia take over as starter by 3rd or 4th week.

It's pretty funny that the other two QBs selected in the first round of that draft were Jason Campbell and Aaron Rodgers.

Yup I see them enshrining Trent into Hall of Fame right now....

you think he sucks or just that the skins don't need to spend a high draft pick on a QB with Campbell there?

Not because he should. If we does it is because Al Green Goblin Davis will do something stupid.

I may be losing it, but didn't he at least play in a Super Bowl

Jeff Hostetler too
