Dude was way out of line. Completely misprofiled his opponent who is a vet on the MSPT. His snap call was right on too as Phil's line was absolute dog shite.

What did the caller have?

K9ss. Bluff catcher with 2 blockers to any line that included backdoor spade draw which makes the call easier.

I wish they would implement the time banks at the main event, but I don't think they ever will.

This is definitely one event where I hope they never do.

They are using the bb ante format which already speeds things up considerably.

Putting in a shot clock would scare off a ton of recs.

shot clocks are for pros only and that would kill the drama of the main. i agree

Last year's tournament was awesome. I'll never forget the final table of 2018. Excruciatingly exciting.

I follow the WSOP pretty hard... several of the Circuit grinders who I’ve played with in tunica at the circuit stops have won bracelets this year.

Pretty cool to sit down and play with those guys

He’s still one of the greatest. 15 bracelets and 10 runner ups. It’s not even arguable.

Ben is a tough player, won some circuit rings

Busted him in a tournament and was glad to get someone as good as him off my table

Absolutely. He definitely punted in this ME tho.

Dude is an enigma in so many ways. Amazing at these big field mtts but his skillset doesn't translate to nose bleed cash games. (or even mid stakes really)

His ego is simultaneously the reason for his success and lack of (in certain areas).

His unwillingness to adhere to push/fold short stack strategies is reminiscient of modern online mtt tourny stretegy. (tho applied differently and for different reasons)

If were going best NL Holdem live tourny player right now I'm goin Alex Foxxen. (easily about 20 guys you could put here)

If we're going all around player (mixed games too) I'm going Dan Smith. You have go down the list pretty far to start finding guys who also can play all the games. You could also go Brian Rast or Paul Volpe. Hell, you could even go with Michael Mizrachi.
