Jeff Pearlman has written a book on Roger Clemens and Rome had him on today to talk about it. Did you know Clemens wasn't even from Texas? Neither did I. He's from Ohio. Did you know he had an older brother that was a druggie? I might actually read that book.

I read Pearlman's book on the cowboy dynasty from the 90's. Very good book. I might have to pick this one up as well.

Roger spent his high school years in Texas (college as well).

His book about the '86 (?) Mets was pretty good, too. The Bad Guys Won!

Boy's will be Boy's? Just started the book, looks to be very interesting, despite the fact I hate the Cowboys.

Pearlman is a good author. I read the book about the Mets...nice read.

Clemens not from Texas...sure...but he basically spent any significant part of his boyhood there I'm pretty sure.

I had a really hard time putting that book down. It was really really entertaining.

Stabbing a teamate in the neck with a pair of scissors because he told him to get up so he could get a hair cut first and the guy refused. The Cowboys covered it up, because at the time, Irvin was on probhation.

Not to mention the numerous times he'd stay out until all hours of the morning snorting lines and getting drunk with strippers only to go to practice the next day and just dominate everyone. Which is why his leash was so long. The dude was an absolutle gamer.

Deadspin had an excerpt from his new book yesterday. Some pretty intense stuff involving Clemens, his brother, and his nephew. If I didn't think I'd hear about most of the better points on PTI and the like I would consider picking it up.

Besides the stabbing incident, Michael Irvin basically was the man whore and the mastermind behind the "white house". But Charles Haley is a fricking lunatic. I also didn't realize that Deon was such a race bater.
