Maybe. If you had tens of millions of dollars, could you keep your addiction at it's current level, and not go chasing the next, great high? Having tens of millions, makes that a whole lot easier.

I would be just fine maintaining with that much cash.

Would you trade lives with Josh Hamilton? You'd get to be a pro baseball player with tremendous on-field success, tons of money, tons of chicks. But you'd have a severe addiction problem and demons you'd have to fight nearly every day.

And the tattoos....don't forget the tattoos.

Yeah, he's married so:

Nah. Dude has chosen to be quite the loser in his non-baseball life.

Yes. I have some of his demons but without the money or fame. So why not? A long, ordinary life doesn't appeal to me like it does others. I'd sacrifice living like a king for a few years to take an early exit.

You are trying to tell ME how addiction works? I know how it works and I know me. I need a certain amount of drugs to maintain when I am using and that is that.

Nah, but I would take two of his years in MLB if I could retain "being me."

Already there... His youth and fame will make it extremely difficult for him to stay sober.

You don't think throwing a considerable amount of money, remember we're talking tens of millions here, would alter that? Even in the slightest way?

I doubt it. Ive tried going higher and I just don't like it at all. It doesn't make me feel better and I don't feel safe. I would indulge in other things with that money but I highly doubt it would be more drugs.

Nah, baseball will be gone one day and he could very likely end up in a ditch dead. I'll live a comfortable upper middle class existence and retire nicely in 30ish years.

looks like a little fun and a slip up. i suppose no one slips up. he's not perfect, but at least he tries to better himself. he doesn't have to. he chooses to fight it.

i wouldn't let demons factor in from the decision of trading places, at all. got enough of my own.
