Would you say that ESPN comes off as supportive of paying college athletes?

And if so, are they not just setting up their own failure with this support?

ESPN definitely supports paying athletes. I’m not saying whether it’s right/wrong and if I agree/disagree. BUT...the value of a college education is not weighed appropriately by the media that feeds the athletes.

More people watched the 9pm block of Love After Lockup: Florida on WETV than any block of sportscenter in the last week
I hope the go bankrupt and everyone there loses their jobs
Dont care what they support

Outside of about 4 UFC prelim events, I haven't watched ESPN since the Jordan doc ended... That was 4 months ago.
Even PTI a show that has had a loyal audience since 2001, is experiencing record low ratings. They're getting 200,000 viewers DURING 4 or 5 simultaneous seasons after a months long hiatus. Last year, when there was no season except baseball, and a slew of guest hosts, they were getting like 800,000 viewers a day.
They've all been exposed for the media left wing hack frauds they are, and everyone turned them off....and they're not turning them back on.
ESPN is dead. If they don't have a college football season, they will lose nearly $1 billion more than they already have lost this year. If that happens, the doors close and the anchors are broadcasting out of a closet on a iPhone.
Mind you, many of the idiots on the air at ESPN are probably rooting for CFB to be postponed.. Cause ya know. Orange Man bad. They have no idea that if that happens, they're all on the street

Considering that you can watch pretty much every Alabama sporting event imaginable through the SEC Network, no you don't.

Lol it feels like 4 years ago.
2020 is the first year of my life that has dragged on.

What Alabama sporting event?
The ones that ESPN is pushing to shut down?
The ones that are absolutely about to be shut down?
Who the frick cares about the SEC Network anymore?

The players are already paid.

Since you state that you don't care what ESPN supports, what reason do you have for hoping that a business fails and all employees lose their jobs?

Businesses no one cares about should fail
Pretty simple really

You make zero sense. Do you drive by each business in your town and hope each fails?
Posted on 8/10/20 at 1:46 am to YF12
Paying college athletes is an absolutely moronic idea. There is absolutely no logical reason for it.

I can think of a few.
People don't like scumbags.
Sorry I am not sorry.

Why are they scumbags?
Actively promoting the downfall of your area of business is generally frowned upon by most business communities.
Supporting players not playing football when you cover their events is like a bar petitioning to the city council for an earlier closing time.
Not respectable.

Are you drunk?
You just stated
Yet they are scumbags for what they support?

The revenue from college football is so big for ESPN that not having it could make their daily schedule just be a repeat of 3 different SC with whatever live sports are going on. I think this is what would be best for them though.

They choose to attack whites and paint us all as racists while wholly embracing a false narrative.
In this their allies are the poorest, least influential, radical socialists etc.
They fricked up, time to pay.

The message from ESPN on this issue, as it is with all political issues, is expressed by a united block of liberal analysts. There is not one opposing view as there are no conservative analysts.
