I would cheer if someone broke a career record.

For example, Drew Brees td record, Lebron passing Kobe for points scored, or in general other large sport moments.

Or even in a case if you know a player is about to retire. For example, every Jazz player in the house probably cheered for Kobe in that last game, even though he did drop 60. I seriously dount any Raptors fans cheered for Kobe dropping 81

None of those

Nothing worse than the LSU baseball fans who act like they are the greatest fans ever since they clap for the opposing team

Maybe not a standing O.

But if the opposing keeper makes an impressive save I'll congratulate them.

Career stats or retirement

Perfect game

Certain streaks or season stats (hits streak, Ripken, home runs, depending on the guy maybe something like rushing yards in a season)

Individual scoring games have to be truly exceptional and not just very good days

Maybe a major comeback - say a huge injury and big game returning

Or just wrecking a record - dude hits a 70 yard fg, I’ll give him credit

Why not clap when the opposing player in the field makes a badass play?

yeah, but one baseball game won’t kill your season

An embarrassing moment as an LSU fan. Sure it was a few good story but high fiving the players was ridiculous
