Check out the average window he’s thrown into. Check out his IAYPA, his IAYPC. Check out his drop rate.

You cherry picked one stat.

But you are also ignoring the main reason why no one outside of LSU fans and slapdick media guys are buying into him.

Where was this production in 2018? He went from a thoroughly mediocre season that was actually worse than his predecessor to Heisman. What changed?

Again: do your own ducking work.

You said he ONLY throws to open receivers. The dude posted a PFF stat showing he threw 24 TDS to recovers who weren’t wife open.

Anecdotally, I remember A shite ton of amazing close throws.

And again is it our system or our elite WRs?

The only legitimate knock on Burrow is his age. I agree TL is the better prospect, but I think he still goes as the first QB in 2017.

I mean his age isn’t even really a huge deal.

But when you start comparing him to people especially Lawrence, who’ll be almost 2 full years younger at the time of draft, and his advancement for that age, it becomes a talking point

I never said he only throws to OPEN receivers, but I’m going to let you think that throwing to OPEN receivers is a bad thing. You’re not getting the micro or the macro here, but that’s okay.

And the answer to the thread is

Watson
Mahomes
Burrow
Trubisky

Hey man did you check out his LHTPA stat?

Turns out he’s actually not very good.

I think so. Watson is amazing but at the time I'm not sure people realized just how good he is.

2019 Joe Burrow goes #1 in most years except whatever year Cam Newton went.

He's going from the Bayou Bengals to the Cincinnati Bengals, that's tigers of completely different stripes.

You said everyone was open and it’s easy to be accurate when you have to choose between open receivers.

Which was a garbage take

So are LSU’s receivers getting open or not? Is he throwing to them when they are open or not?

Lol

They blame Ensminger for how terrible Burrow was but somehow fail to acknowledge Joe Brady for this years production. Like how??

How come you always use Star Wars and SuperHero gifs?
Maybe that’s why you’re still using dating apps

The pick itself wasn’t that baffling, there were was smoke for weeks about him going in the top 5 for weeks, particularly to the Bears.

What was surprising was the Bears trading so many picks to move up one spot to get him when the team ahead of them had no intention of drafting him.

The Niners moved down one spot, got the player they wanted at 2 at 3 on a cheaper deal and also wound up picking up Dante Pettis, DJ Reed, Fred Warner, and Reuben Foster from that trade. If John Lynch calls you, hang up, because he’s about to frick you with a smile on his face.
