The Reds in 90 weren't very good with starters
They had
Browning
Rijo
Jackson
And 2 others
But get to the 7th it was over

Charlton wasn't a starter he was set up for Dibble who then set up for Myers.

Excellant point about that team. Thank God Marquis was left off the playoff roster. Ponson started the year in the rotation, but was so bad he was released mid season. I think all Cardinals fans were shocked that rotation was somehow good enough to win a World Series. Isringhausen got hurt in August that year, and was out for the year. Even the bullpen was outside of those two wasn't that good, but once the playoffs started they somehow shut the door.

2003 Marlins had Beckett, Pavano, Penny, Redman, and someone else I am forgetting.

That was a good staff as was the one with Kevin Brown in 97?
When on Kevin Brown was unhittable with that sinker. He was best right hander, other than Clemens in the 90's.
If I could make a staff from 90's 00's
Brown
Clemens
Maddox
Johnson
Martinez
Long Relief
Smoltz
Glavine
Mussina
Closers/Setup
Lee Smith
Rivera
Wetland
Hoffman
Franco

Kevin Brown. Al Leiter, Livan. Don't remember who they had at the back end but that's a pretty nasty top 3

2011 Cardinals had an aging Carpenter, Lohse, Jackson, Garcia, and Westbrook.
