I wonder what the peak ratings were for game 3 and how much it tailored off the later in the game. Going 18 innings and to nearly 3 am on the East Coast had to damper the average viewership a bit.

in Taiwan, everyone is going crazy for Ohtani.
I see people wearing his Angels and Dodgers jerseys everywhere. The man isn't even Chinese but the people there can't get enough of him.
The 50th homerun ball from the 50/50 season is in Taipei 101 for gods sake.

U.S. viewers for the first two games of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays dropped 14% from last year's matchup between the Dodgers and the New York Yankees, but Canadian and Japanese audiences set records.
Last year's first two games averaged 14.55 million and this year's first two averaged 12..5 million on Fox, Fox Deportes, Fox One streaming, the Fox Sports app and Univision, Major League Baseball said Tuesday.
MLB said the combined 32.6 million viewers for the opener in the U.S., Canada and Japan were its highest since the Chicago Cubs ended their 108-year title drought by beating Cleveland in Game 7 of the 2016 Series.

Is there a reason Japan is setting records this year as opposed to last year? I'm not saying they shouldn't be but the numbers can't be much higher in Japan considering he played in his first world series last year right? And Yamamoto was on the team and pitched last year too so I don't think it should be that much bigger this year?
I totally get the Canada numbers

I would love to see what that signal looks like.
I know Japan is known for leading the way in TV broadcasting technology as the US languishes with crappy 720p signals from a Fox affliate that is squeezing 6-8 other subchannels on their ATSC 1.0 signal. Don't get me started on the dumpster fire that is ATSC 3.0 that uses encrption not supported by a box that I bought.

Did this dude just forget the english words to the Canadian anthem and switch to French for a bit, or is that normal?
Sometimes they sing the middle part in French. More common in eastern Canada for obvious reasons. Not gonna see that in Winnipeg regularly

Add in Saki along with Ohtani and Yamamoto, the Dodgers are Asia's team

Normal they're interchangeable
But he absolutely fricking butchered both the french and English part.
