If he was a stand up dude he would have picked like 50 Full TIlt players, paid for their entry into the main event, and flown them out to Vegas. He didn't do shite but take a vacation IMO.

I think not playing sends a much bigger message then just throwing around money to show your displeasure.

hopefully if i go i'll probably play the limit hold em shoot out on the 24th, and a bunch of tournaments at the Venetian, Caesars, and Golden Nugget, but if I run well enough I'll play more WSOP events.

Well he could have helped out the people who he hurt and also not played. He was a face of the organization so he got people to join and he also made millions from them. Doing both of those would have sent a message that he cared about the people whose money he took, and not just his own image. I mean the bottom line is he promoted an illegal product and scammed people out of their money...he should do more than take a vacation.

and then some would say, why not more than 50?

well, the dude is doing something by filing the suit against Tiltware, now it won't matter if the suit is not successful. Ivey NOT being at a WSOP means there's much less star power at the event, but the show will go on.

and IMO, he's not just taking a vacation. you just don't take off from playing the WSOP and call it a vacation. I hope he wins his suit and gets the people back their money.

I'll be out there for about a month but I'm not getting there for a few more weeks. Gonna play a few WSOP events but will mainly be at the Venetian for the deepstacks. There is just too much value there not to play. The one table satellites at the Rio are always gold was well.

I have no opinion on Juanda either way but as for the poster in this thread that simply replied "he's a snake" when referring to him, I'd love to hear your personal experience that led you to this conclusion. I'm sure you've played with him before and didn't just hear something off hand or read it on an internet message board.

PI is someone everyone wants to see at the WSOP.....everyone. Him staying will get the people in Vegas alarmed and this will get things done. Smart move on his part.

Sucks that Phil isn't taking a shot at that bracelet but don't think he's taking a vacation or that his wallet will suffer. He'll be cleaning up in the cash games like they all do during the WSOP.

To big time pros the tournament is like Christmas with all the fish in town. Yes, they want a bracelet for the prestige, but they would rather have the cash.

Brunson didn't play for three years when he was in his prime because of the dispute between the Binions.

I'm going sometime in the next couple weeks, just not sure exactly when. Probably won't play in any WSOP events other than a couple satellites

Never, but I've read some of his tweets to Doyle that really came off as a snide a-hole. Enough to change my opinion of the guy. He's been alerting everyone for the past 3 weeks that he's not playing as many events, as though he knew what to expect.

I'm heading out there tonight for a couple days, probably play some satellites and sng's.

Lots of the events will be streaming on 5 min delay. Saw some yesterday, it was high quality.

Here's a link for when they air:

Are they streaming on ESPN3? It would be great to be able to watch on the XBox
