This Cardinals team is a lot like the 64 Cardinals -- late rally to make the playoffs they never expected to be in, anchored by the best player in baseball. Huge role for the third baseman, great defensive catcher (who happens to be in the booth tonight), and an ace making three starts. Not as much speed on the bases, though.
Daughtry just murdered the national anthem.
This Cardinals team is a lot like the 64 Cardinals -- late rally to make the playoffs they never expected to be in, anchored by the best player in baseball. BTW - Holliday isn't just out of the lineup, he's off the roster. Replaced by Adron Chambers.
