It's funny, everyone blasts Man City when they offer exorbitant amounts for Kaka, but when Real do it...it's like "oooooohhhh dream team, dream team!" *splooge*

Just wait until they tear themselves apart.

Beckham won LaLiga in his last season. Pretty sure Zidane was on the team when the won it in 2003.

ETA: To all you Real Madrid haters...suck it

When you have Figo, Beckham, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, etc... You are expected to win every year. They only won La Liga twice with the 2007 title being decided on the last day. Also they only won the UCL once during "galacticos era" and that came in 2002. I guess i'm just bitter, but my hatred for Real is well documented.

Yeah, that was a pretty dumn statement.

Figo is dying at Inter, btw

I never really cared one way or the other for Real Madrid until I saw them live in person the year they won LaLiga in 2007. Since then, I have followed them.

They ended up beating Espanyol 4-3 that game with the game winning goal happening in extra time. That game pushed them ahead of Barca for the title. Best sporting event I have ever been to in my life.

Yeah 2007 was an epic choke job by Barca and it levelled them on points with Barca and I believe it was even on head to head, so they decided that title on the goal differential.

Needless to say...it sucked, for me anyway

I like watching LaLiga, but Fox Soccer Channel only gets EPL and SieraA. I would trade LaLiga for SieraA in a second.

Man, Real M. on paper is going to be fricking sick.

Yeah Serie A is boring, too defensive ya know? I do believe that these transfers are good for the spanish game because with Barcelona winning the CL and Madrid now having the only player that most Americans know, the profile of La Liga will increase substantially. Of course we will have to deal with the barrage of bandwagoners...but you gotta sacrifice.

The one thing I do like about watching Siera A...they must have tiny little microphones placed all over the field, b/c I swear you can hear a "thud" everytime a players makes a pass. I don't know why I like that, but I do. I'm a simple man.

Galacticos!!!! C'mon David Villa!

Manchester U. is going to go get Ribery, Valencia, and probably another striker. Just like when they brought in Ronaldo, Anderson, and Djemba Djemba. One of the new purchases will become the future treble winners!

I was trying to explain the significance of singing Kaka and Ronaldo to a coworker that knows little about soccer. My analogy was say the Lakers signed LeBron James next year to play with Kobe. Fair?

someone should pass real madrid a note that reads...DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

when Kaka is hurt again and riding the bench for the season, im going to be especially impressed by a team that is going to get ran through like a girls grade school team.

that billion dollars they are spending is going to be really amazing then

Sold cristiano high gunna buy some a new star and resign tevez. This will be good for man utd. As talented as cristiano is, he was always a head ache.
Barca and Real game next year just got a lot more entertaining.
