when was that acusation made? That is a whole different animal. However, since you brought it up, Catholic schools keep their doors open by recruiting. Not athletic recruiting, but recruitment of students period. Families have a choice which Catholic school to send their kids to. They do not have a chioce of where to send their kids if public education is the route they choose to go. So any recruiting done by public schools is wrong. Dont tell me it doesnt happen. (Bradie James, the RB from DeLaSalle a few years back, etc).

And by the way, who is seeing to it that all of the classwork missed by those WM "student/athletes" is being made up being that they left for New Orleans today? Seems like alot of school to miss for a football game. I mean, we left last Friday morning? But we are called cheaters! Not that leaving two days before a high school football game is cheating, but dont tell me that WM is playing by the same rules that everyone else is. Again, im not sour graping this situation, but at least admit that football and sports in general run that school. No shame in it (unless you dont admit it).

Ask me why West Monroe won the game? They were better than Brother Martin. Ask West Monroe people why it was closer than expected? Because BM cheats! How about WM was looking past BM? Thats certainly understandable. How about BM played above their heads and actually fed off of the atmosphere where most other teams are defeated before the kickoff?

I haven't seen anyone say BM cheats and that's why the game was close. I've seen some say they were dirty, but that's not why the game was close. None of the reasons you listed were the correct answer as to why the game was close either. The game was close for 1 reason and 1 reason only. Paul Turner, WM's starting QB, didn't take a single snap. Instead a sophomore who had 1 start against 3A Richwood prior to this game played every play. The offense was extremely watered down. Like I said before, this was very similar to La Tech/LSU.

If they recruit so much why don't they have better teams? I do know the RB from De La Salle suddenly left New Orleans and his mom found a job in West Monroe where he was enrolled. I think his last name was Cook.

Chad Cook?

BTW, I thought Butler from BM was a great player. I think he'll be a legit D1 prospect next year.

Why didn't Central's Sid Edwards have success at Jesuit?

Because it is hard to have success when most of the students are 5'10 180 pound white kids. When you are playing against teams that are naturally bigger.

I know Redemptorist is only 3A but he did have some great success there.

Because he couldn't get everybody in at jesuit. You actually have to read and write to get in there. Therefore the kids he won with at redemptorist could not get through the front door at jesuit or any other catholic league school.

You might be right. Pretty sure he was at Catholic when Warick Dunn entered Catholic. And according to Dunn's book he flunked off the freshmen team at Catholic. But he gives Sid alot of credit for helping him thru.

That's amazing seeing as how I watched them practice today at WM's practice field. That just goes to show you shouldn't believe everything you hear about any team because it's probably just not gonna be true. Where did you hear they had left today for New Orleans?

I've never known WM to leave before the day of the game other than the Dome. I would think they'd leave around 8:30am Friday. Get to NOLA around 1. Go eat and lay down until 5:30ish.

Yes WM leaves at 8:45 Friday morning.

The only case that they would have left early would have been if they were playing on Saturday. They were gonna leave Friday, stay in a hotel, and play Saturday.

Stop trying to make the Catholic League out to be some kind of soap opera. Coaching junior high lacrosse doesnt constitute "coaching in the catholic league". Just because you couldn't hack it in this league and they ran you off doesnt make it right to get on here and try to stir up shite.
