...so all the flaming you have done towards TCU is irrevelant then, gotcha
Saying Wisconsin will run the ball down their throat and questioning someone using TCU's defensive rank is flaming?

They played Baylor, that's a better opponent than Va Tech, right?

according to your theory that "the past is irrelevant" id say yes--- you are talking out two sides of your arse here--- one cant slam TCUs competition in one post and then claim the the past doesnt matter in another.

I think we can agree that the Big Ten is a better conference than the MWC. With that said, better stat rankings in an easier conference does not automatically mean TCU is somehow better.
I am going to go out on a limb and say that TCU's defense wouldnt be #1 if they played in the Big Ten. I don't think that is a huge leap to make. Can you really disagree Purple?

Wisconsin's size and experience on the offensive line will neutralize TCU's speed on defense. They should be able to pound the ball at them with their big backs all night. I really like TCU and I think Andy Dalton is probably the third best QB in college, but I got burned taking them last year against Boise So I'm taking Wisky plus the points.
If the line moves in a big way towards wisconsin I might play TCU and try to middle it, but it would have to move a lot.

I have ZERO problem with a fan pumping himself up to think his team is better than they really are. However you seem the type that will have a shitload of excuses if Wisky whips TCU'S arse. Just an observation.
LOl you crack me up, some people have stated why they think Wisconsin would win; but so far you have given ZERO reason why you think they would win...bringing up "inferior competition" every time. Do you really think Wisconsin played a MUCH better competition? Here is the strength of schedule comparison by a few computers used by the BCS
Sagarin Wisc (71st). TCU(82nd)
Massey Wisc (43rd). TCU (49th)
Anderson and Hester Wisc(36th). TCU (62nd)
Colley Wisc (74th) TCU (91st)
Sure TCU has a worse record, but Wisconsin's has been pretty crappy as well. TCU had ONE faux-pas all year long, that was after the win against Utah, but even after falling down 0-14 early they scored 37 straight just to see that lead close out in the final minutes.
And people talking about size and technique: guess how many defensive players TCU put in the 2 first rounds of the draft this year. They have have a legit defense.

He's strictly looking and comparing how TCU or Wisconsin did against different opponents throughout the season and using TCU's rankings as an argument. I'm saying their ranking doesn't hold as much water because of who they have played. Am I viewing the past? Technically, yes. But all I'm really saying is the #1 defense argument is stupid looking at the offenses they play. I'm not going back and analyzing game by game stats through Wisky and TCU's bad opponents.

any stat rank is uncomparable between the two teams

with all the love you see Wisconsin getting and with a full month almost to go, I predict Wisconsin could easily be a 2.5 to 3 point fav by then. Reminds me of the Boise-VT line.

Sorry I meant 3rd best Pro prospect in college football, behind Luck and Mallet. All in my opinion. If you've waqtched them he really doesn't have a weakness.

They played two 11-1 teams. What do you think?

My mistake. It wasn't in this thread, but you said it in the "BCS scores predictions" thread.

I've honestly really only gotten to see Tcu play once. That was the Fiesta Bowl. I just came away unimpressed honestly. Sure they had some good players littered on the field out there, but as a whole I just didn't think they were that impressive. Dalton looked AWFUL and so did their running game. If I remember correctly, I don't think they rushed for more than 40 yards the whole game. I know it was only one game, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. That said, we looked awful against Boise State too.
Oregon.
ETA: I know I shouldn't judge this year's team based on that game, but unfortunately it is the only game I have seen. Tcu doesn't get broadcasted much in these regions.

I had no clue Oregon would be playing in the MNC after watching them in the Rose Bowl
