BREAKING: #Wisconsin is pausing all football-related activities. Saturday’s game at Nebraska will not be played due to an elevated number of COVID-19 cases.

12 positive cases so far - 6 players, 6 staff (including Chryst)

It's almost like starting the season earlier in the year was a safer option...

it's almost like if they started playing their schedule in early september with multiple bye weeks built in to the schedule to protect themselves from this exact scenario, they'd be fine.

there is no option to re-schedule it later in the season, according to B1G rules b/c of the shortened season

They set themselves up for the expressed purpose of having it be a disaster and eventually having to cancel seasons just so they can try to say “I told you so” to the ACC and SEC, while trying to squeeze out enough games to get the conference tv money

Dan Patrick right before the announcement:

DP from a source on Wisconsin: Graham Mertz likely had COVID prior to last week’s game but tested negative. He was at all team activities leading up to the game, so it spread throughout the team. A significant number of positives this week. Game v. Nebraska is growing doubtful

So the Big Ten is using testing that isn't even catching the virus for a few days? What. The. frick.

There's going to be teams in the Big Ten that only play 5 games.

Their 21 day rule will be a nightmare while the SEC and ACC will power through.

Well that can't be accurate, we've all been wearing masks for months and masks stop coronavirus.
