no one has said that. I agree with Boom that best case he could be Matt Ryan. He isnt that good right now so clearly not at his ceiling

the guy that just got out played by Case Keenum... lol ok

Well that is some silly logic.

He wasn't playing 1-1 vs Keenum, and better QBs get outplayed by lesser QBs all the time.

I don't see where yall are getting this from.. Winston has had a few bright moments, but he still has a long way to go IMO... I mean look at last night...It was a HUGE HUGE game for the Bucs and he played like shite when it matters most... Stats aren't everything when playing QB in the NFL... Looking down the road I would take Bortles over any qb talked about in this thread....

I think he looks more than pretty good for being 21 years old.

He takes care of the ball pretty well considering he's in the top 10 in passing attempts.

Warren moon good

What has he done to warrant that statement?

He may turn out good, but the guy has shown a complete lack of intelligence and awareness. 2 things that are pretty important to succeed at that position in the NFL. He also has shown very erratic play, is turnover prone and for whatever reason doesn't always seem to be focused. I honestly would be less surprised that he was out of the league in 5 years, than I would be of him being Warren Moon good.

If you think that Winston is great you obviously only watched one as well.

Winston is a weird case study for this board that I dont quite understand. Ive talked about hundreds of players on here without any personal bias yet he's the only one that have drawn out these "hater" and "butthurt" comments.

Link? Dude is having an awesome first season for a rookie QB. Especially on a shite Bucs squad that was 2-14 last year.

I never said he was bad.

He looks about how I would expect a 21 year old to play. A lot of ups and downs. Some flashes of good but also a lot of bad. People are pretending that he has put it all together though. He hasn't really played great in back to back games. He's had accuracy issues. I just dont see how its a forgone conclusion he is the next Peyton Manning

Umm every decision the kid has made in the last 3 years. You think putting himself in the the situations that he has is intelligent or showing good awareness?

I know at least one of Jameis's interceptions came off a tipped ball the receiver should have caught.

You clearly can't give Winston any props. You hated on him his entire redshirt soph year and during the draft/training camp. Just give him props on what he has done so far this year. I know you have it in you.

We'll see what happens in the future. All we know right now is that he has the potential to be a future pro bowler and consistent top 5 QB in the league.

So two decisions?

One where he was falsely accused of rape? And getting hooked up with some free crab legs? Yeah, he has a complete lack of intelligence / awareness. I'm sure you've never done anything stupid while in college.

Let it go. He has been nothing but a model citizen so far in the NFL.

I'd love to see his stats if you add the dropped balls. I want to say I've seen at least 25 dropped balls in the games I've watched.
