people spend too much time talking about 1 disadvantage vs numerous advantages. Talk about his ability to read a defense, his pocket agility, his mobility, his arm strength, his accuracy, his leadership skills. How do all these other skills help offset one negative.

its not nfl im the 90s anymore. Things are changing, the style is changing. Am i saying kyler will be some superstar? No.. i have no clue. Im just saying someone will take a chance on him early. Especially since they lowered the rookie contracts a couple yrs ago. Not as much risk today as it was 10 yrs ago.

That’s a pretty good breakdown for male hieght. Although, being 5’10”, far more people have said I was “tallish” than have said I was short.

But I’m not a pro athelete either, so context probably matters

Not sure what you're watching, but he looks like a middle schooler on the football field.

He’s still going to look small.

But he isn’t Darren Sproles small. There is huge difference between 5’7” & 5’9” when it comes down to it. He couldn’t play QB at 5’7”

Oh, I get it. But baseball does less harm on his body, and he has a chamce to play longer and make more in the long run.

I think he's right in the middle. Will measure out around 5'8".

Which is really tiny.

Tua is probably 6'0" even and he towered over Kyler.

I have a question:

If he plays baseball, does his 1 year left of football eligibility ever expire?

Because that seems like the smart play if it doesn't:

Play baseball, if it doesn't work and you don't think anyone will draft you in the NFL at that future date, go back to college for a year.

No. But he has to leave college completely. Your 4 year clock is counting even if you just take classes. You have to unenroll.

ETA

I think you can't recieve a scholarship.

Yep, once you start your "clock" it doesn't pause. I believe everyone who who signs to play in the NCAA has 5 years to play 4 (granted there are exceptions for medical redshirts, etc.).

He doesn’t have to leave college but his year would expire if he doesn’t play. Several players have played college football & professional baseball

You looked at his dead cap number. Which is just how much of a salary cap hit the ravens would take it they cut him

He got 480,000 in base salary, and 1.2 mil in his signing bonus that is pro rated over the course of his contract

His total contract is injury guaranteed for 7 mil over 4 years. Much more comparable to what kyler got from the As
