Alcaraz goes to the dropper way too much

Joker is not going quietly.

He most definitely was. Used lots of gamesmanship tactics, locker room breaks, pouted a ton, was frequently “injured” and retired multiple times when things seemingly were against him. He eventually figured out the mental part of the game and went on to become the GOAT. But he was a shithead early on.
That's why I consider Holger Rune as close to we'll get to the "next Djokovic". He's got that FU mentality that a lot of young players lack but also has the talent to back it up.

Alc letting some bad errors creep in

Alcaraz tried to give that game away but Novak saved him with yet another backhand error

Tennis players and faking injuries

He twisted that knee back pretty good in that fall.
He seems to be working through it.

Break for Djoker! Or not, clipped the line.
Faking injuries doesn't give much if any advantage in a tennis match outside of a quick breather.
There's the break for Novak. Carlitos misplays the volley.

Carlos paid the price for dumping that easy volley at 30-15.

Alcarez looked a step slower that game

Feels like Carlos won't have the legs if this goes to a 5th set.

I don't think it's the legs that will matter. It's the pressure and nerves that might get to him.
I can see him starting to try to play like he was in the 1st set and being too aggressive.

Novak quietly conserved some energy for a nice stretch in late 3rd/early 4th while alcaraz ran around like a Labrador.

I really don’t care for the animated replay.
Why not just show the real thing?

I noticed they NEVER show line replays anymore after the replay system started. Drives me crazy.
