They may actually get to keep him another year. It will be tough for schools to fire coaches after this strange season. Cajuns may get to keep him a while longer.

Where is his next stop? I’m thinking maybe South Carolina when Boom gets the ax.

He ain’t going to Vandy. Word is his next move will only be to a school where he can win a national championship. That’s why he walked on the Ms State deal. He’s gonna be very selective on the next job.

Lol if he thinks he’s going from ULL to an LSU/Alabama/Clemson/tOSU. You’re probably just talking out of your arse though as usual. He’d leave ULL for Iowa State

Agreed. I think USCe would be a potential, as well as UNC, Va Tech, Miami, aTm, etc

Correct. I think he won’t move until the next big opening. I live in Lafayette, and my vet goes to the same church as Napier. He said how happy he is here, with his young family, etc. i really believe he’s gonna be real picky about the next move,

NC State or VA Tech both seem like possibilities, IMO. I believe both schools will be looking for new coaches by 2022.

Sounds like you are

As someone who knows people very close to the situation, I can tell you that is not correct. Things can change and maybe he eventually would, but that isn’t the mindset now. Once again, see the Miss State example from last year.

Yeah, those would be good options for him. And I like 2022 as the earliest. I don’t seeing him moving after this season. I mean we all know it’s not if, but when.

This plan works until you lose a couple games you shouldn’t and D1 schools stop answering your calls

If you selling Billy Napier short you aren’t too smart.

I agree. Definitely a risky approach. Has been done before and blown up careers. We shall see.

Vandy won't spend the money to actually commit to winning. Vandy also isn't about to hire a coach who isn't a minority.

When Orgeron was hired at LSU his resume looked like he had no business as the head coach. Napier's resume will be better than Orgeron's by a good bit when this season ends. I think Napier may be the next head coach at A&M or Texas if he sticks with ULL for a few more seasons. But, who really knows? This things are highly unpredictable.

It’s ironic that you say that considering the fact that three of those four schools promoted in-house assistants to the head coaching position. I would say Napier is a much more desirable head coaching candidate than Dabo and Coach O was before they were hired.
