Will the “new” system be compromised by letting in a non-conference champ?

gameday gave that fricking midget a half hour segment in 2011 to "sell" his team while everyone else under consideration was playing for a conference championship. Same thing this year.

It’s this shite right here that pisses me off. You lose at the beginning of the season.....recoverable. You lose mid season......tough. You lose at the end.......devastating, unless you are the Gumps. If UGA wins, they should be in, and the same with AU. Then take each conf champ and put them in. Unfortunately, that’s what happens when “voters” decide.

YES !
I have been saying this for months..
the ONLY reason to give the decision making back to humans is to keep multiple teams from the same conference from playing.

4 conferences = more audience=more advertising $$

They will "SELL IT" as the best 4 teams, but everyone know it is not about that.

The BCS, at the end, had it pretty much right... had they added 2 more teams, or even 4 teams w #1 and # 2 getting a bye, the BCS would have gotten it right.
BUT that did not serve their agenda.

For the youngsters, HUMANS used to pick the NC game, thus the birth of BCS.

....since the computer looks at facts, the computer could possibly pick multiple teams from a conference and the NCAA could not risk losing revenues.....
NOT about the best 4 teams, although if the two aspects coincide, it will be used as "You see, we pick the best 4"

I said it last night Bama will still get in. I hope to Hell not. LOL at some Gumps today wanting an 8 team playoff.
Like 2011, finished third in the SEC and still got into the NCG.

The way Bama was worked over by Aubie, they may want to get back under the porch and lick their wounds. Getting in and then getting butt rolled a second time in as many games would damage the Gumps for a while.

They want Conf champs. Bama didn’t even win their division. They’re out.

The system is compromised already. When you lose shouldn't matter. It's good for the game for Iron Bowl on last weekend of season. If it is a disqualifier for the playoff, they'll start playing it early. That's stupid.

Ohio State has been blown out twice. They don't deserve a playoff spot. They were not a conference champion last year and made it in - which I'm fine with.

Give me the 4 best teams. That said, I don't know if Alabama is one of the 4 best.

Neither does Alabama, not that "deserve" matters.

well it does. November games have to mean more to the committee bc that's when more attention is paid to the playoff contenders.
