He’s a little under 3K points away.

If he played 82 games a season, I’d say he does it easily, but he only played 45 last year, and isn’t getting any younger.

I, for one, hope he gets there.

I’ve always been a fan. That hardly matters, though.

Kareem averaged 18 per on dancing with the stars

I can see Lebron doing better but only if the dancing association helps him out for the ratings

Kareem isn’t marketable for socials in 2021

LeBron averaged 25 ppg last year, so he’s roughly 120 games away and even at 45 games a year thats under 3 years. He’s already said he wants to play with his son in the NBA and it would solidify his campaign for GOAT status over Michael, so I think he breaks it.

Bron gets that sometime next season… Steph Curry will get the all time 3’s record before the all star break… Popovich will be the all time wins leader in March…

No, it wouldn’t. He’s a tier below both.

For example, Kareem played 20 years and didn’t shoot 3s.

Different era. Kareem would be taking 7 ish a game with slashing playmakers he played with.

It’s not the same, let’s not pretend it is.

Playing more games than MJ because he skipped college and MJ retired doesn’t do anything for his GOAT status

7'2 Kareem would not be taking 7 3PA per game, unless they wanted to waste most of their possessions having the most graceful center to ever play the game parked on the three-point line. The game might have changed, but it hasn't changed that much. Only a handful of players not named Steph Curry have ever averaged 7+ 3PA per game.

And this take actually gets worse:

Kareem played from 1969-1989. During his tenure in the league, the average points per team in a game were about 110. LeBron has been in the league since 2003. During his tenure, the average points per team in a game has been about 100. It's only been the past five seasons that the scoring average has crept up from about 100 to 110+.

Y'all are so blinded by LeBron hate that you just make a bunch of shite up to fit your narratives.

If he has a Kobe-esque twilight of his career, he will. If he has a Shaq fall off a cliff in production, he may not. I assume he will, though. I'm more interested in his twilight productivity, rather than aggregate milestones.

This.

Kareem’s CAREER 3P stats in his 9 years he played with a three point line was 1-18. I imagine even then if he could have made some he would have shot some
