If he's serious about forcing his son as HCIW they should.

No.

Manhatten isn't Florida.

And he came back to rescue the program after they nose-dived after he left.

He built something but it's just him...The minute he leaves again, K-State turns back to Temple level overnight.

K-State would trot his corpse out onto the field if they could to get recruits in 20 years.

Didn’t they do that 15 years ago and then bring him back 8 years later?

Hell no. KSU isn't Florida State. They were absolute shite before Snyder and were slipping back in to it with Prince. Florida State has (and had shortly before Bowden retired) all of the resources to be at least decent no matter who the coach is. K-State is not that way, it takes a very special person who can identify talent, leverage JUCOs, and recruit to Manhattan. Snyder will either die in office or leave with an appointed successor...probably either Bielema or Venables, possibly even Gary Patterson...but there is no way in hell the EMAWers run Snyder out of town.

They actually got better. They sucked at the end of his first tenure.

At least Snyder is still on the sidelines with a head set coaching. Paterno roamed the sidelines talking to nobody or sat in the booth alone with no headset his last years

The feelers have gone out, that's why we got the quote we did a couple of weeks ago, but Venables won't leave until his son graduates Clemson.

But if Snyder has a lifetime contract and lives until 90. Venables will be long gone.

I still think Vennables is hired by Bob Stoops in Manhattan

I’m not sure what they’ll do with Del yet though.

Why? 7-5 is their natural habitat.

You think Stoops takes the KSU job?

Interesting. I thought he retired for health reasons???

KSU has a lot of really attractive coaching candidates connected to it, either from that area of Kansas, played there, or coached there - but they're all tied up in other places.

Another job to watch is Iowa, same deal.

I think he becomes AD there not HC

He is loyal to Coach and they’re basically family

Which is why I can see Delbert getting HC job for 2 years then Vennables comes in when Stoops comes as AD

How much does Iowa State becoming good play into this?

Jog my memory because I was busy with some other things in life when it happened...what were the health reasons Stoops cited for retiring? Because if they're serious, KSU is not a good place to be. When I lived in Manhattan people routinely got referred to KC, not Topeka or Lawrence but all the way to KC, for stuff. Not a good place to be sick.

McCarney was a flash in the pan. If Campbell stays he will be consistently good.
