Why would any football program select the Jordan brand for uniforms/gear?

This is probably a stupid question, but how is Jordan allowed to have his own athletic brand and still be under contract with Nike? Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I don’t keep up with shite like this.

It’s a subsidiary of Nike. Nike contracts it out. Places like Rippon in Wisconsin make it. Think of it like GMC and Chevy. Same manufacturer just different label

People literally kill over his shoes and some of those people play sports. It's good for recruiting.

If I'm a recruit, the uniform brand would be #346 on my list of things that matter.

its honestly at the very least in the top 50 things that factor in for most recruits.

then you have some kids that are absolutely obsessed with Jordans and if they get a chance to go to a school sponsored by them and get tons of free swag they are absolutely gonna do it.

and it's amazing for basketball recruiting. not like its possible to have Jordan for the basketball team and then Under Armour for the football team

Me either but I know it matters to some. Same reason schools do all the alternate uniforms.

This is a line of people waiting for A CHANCE to buy Jordan shoes. It’s a cultural thing.
