Haven't read much of the thread, but where are the majority of posters now who thought Bosh was worthless?

I'll come back and eat crow. I didn't realize how incredibly weak they are in the paint on offense and defense w/o him. He spreads the defense out w/ that little 15-20 ft jumper and it would be big in this series

The problem isn't just Bosh. It's their entire group of post players.

They have no good depth. Joel Anthony is meh on offense, though he is a good defensive player. Haslem has been terrible all regular season and postseason. Turiaf has been okay, but you don't want to be relying on Ronny Turiaf.

They have shitty guys down low. If you want to build a team around two or three superstars, you need to surround them with more hard-working, tough, good post players, as opposed to a bunch of shooters like the Heat have.

You don't need Miller, Battier, Jones, etc. Take one of them, and get a bunch of above average post players.

However, the problem is that they can't afford much. And most old guys who will take the minimum to win a title are just old shooters, not old guys who can play down low.

You think they'd take a straight up trade w/ the clippers, Deandre Jordan for Wade?

only reason I ask is b/c it was being discussed on the radio this morning

I think that if they had a better PG they would be more effective than having a better frontcourt.

I mean, no way.

I'm not sure of the upside that DeAndre Jordan has. And the longer he plays with Paul and his offensive development isn't as needed, his chance for improvement isn't that great.

They'd need to get a lot more for Wade. And the contracts would have to match up.

This WILL happen depending on the coach. BUT Wade and Bron are ball hogs. May not work

So LeBron and Wade will have to fight over the ball with an extra guy?

Not if it was Steve Nash. Mostly I would like to see what Nash could do with those two offensively. It's more of a pipe dream really.

useless unless Lebron and Wade can learn to play better without the ball.

I don't get why one of the two aren't constantly cutting to the hoop without the ball, or running the pick and roll for each other. It's like they just take turns going ISO.

I don't know about useless just because Nash is one of the best shooters in NBA history. The Heat can't buy a 3 right now. If they weren't shooting less than 10% on threes in this series they'd be up right now instead of down 1-2

I've wondered this myself. Much like I don't understand why Durant and Westbrook don't run the high pick and roll a lot either. Who the hell can possibly guard those two combos? They're all so fast and athletic they would get to the rim or get fouled a majority of the time. Both Wade and James are fantastic passers as well.

Heat beat writers are now claiming that Wade has a leg injury, he's just too noble to say it because he doesn't want to make excuses.
