because he's had absolutely zero exposure this season. people aren't having his hightlight reel stuffed down their throat every single day like they are with te'o and that douche bag manziel.
also, from the few times i've seen him he doesn't look like a heisman winner. maybe at some point in his career, but not this year.

the lack of media attention OSU received this year is kinda bizarre; i get it "probation, etc" but they typically are one of the most publicized schools year in and year out

Lack of ranking hurts as well - that number next to the name carries a lot of clout for 3rd party viewers.
How many times to you go to a sports website and their scores page has "Top 25" scores set to default? Or when ESPN's bottom line ticker that shows Top 25 scores.
They just didn't receive enough attention down the stretch since the weren't playing for championships.
If tOSU was, Miller would easily be near the top.

Because OSU is ineligible for postseason games, therefor no one (except the AP) gives a shite about OSU
