Only coach to win all four BCS bowls and a title.

Big games and when it comes to sending players to NFL, does not do the best job considering his recruiting classes.

Look what Saban brings to Tuscaloosa. All equally as appealing if you strip football history.
Stupid argument.

Really?
AD, Gerald McCoy, Trent Williams, Demarco Murray, Sam Bradford, Phil Loadholt, etc

He is easily a top 5-7 coach. But because our warped sports culture views anything short of winning the title as failure and Stoops lost 3 straight BCS CG with 2 other BCS Bowls, people grossly under rate him, often falsly claiming he "always got blown out" in big games. Yes, they got blown out by USC, but lost to LSU by 7 (in New Orleans) and to Florida by 10 (in Miami). He also gets unfair grief for the Boise game in part because of the publicity of that game.
People also forget what a dumpster fire OU was in the 90's. He won a BCS Title, 8 conference titles and all 4 BCS bowl games.

This is what I'm saying. OU has rarely gotten "blown out" by anyone since Stoops has been in Norman. It takes a lot just to get in those games.

because he's achieved jack shite outside of one year

He got his arse handed to him by Mack this year. That alone should knock him down 3 or 4 places.

He is one of the VERY few coaches I would trade Les for.
Reason why he is not talked about much is bc he has not been winning Championships lately. ESPN only covers first place and controversy.
eta - he is one of two college coaches I would trade Les for.

1 title, 4 title appearances, 4 BCS wins, 8 conference titles, 2 heisman winners. No one not named Saban or Meyer has a better resume than that

I think Bob rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with how he used to leave the starters in when we would be up 50+. Not to mention the SEC comments. Thats the only reason I can think of, besides just hate for OU as a program, to not have him as a top 5 coach.

Name one significant pro player that he has produced other than AP. I'll wait...
Gundy is the best coach in that state.

We had a legitimate chance at getting him back in late '09 when Meyer first retired.

So success as a college coach is determined by producing good NFL players?
I guess Tom Osborne is pretty low on your All-Time list then.

You're an idiot. Trent Williams, Demarco Murray, Gerald McCoy to name a few
Oh, and Gundy is 1-9 against Stoops
