UDUB's OOC was BYU, Oklahoma and Notre Dame. All are going to bowls, with one to the MNC.

Wazzou OOC was Oklahoma State, Baylor, Portland State and Hawaii. Three of those teams are going bowling and Portland was subtracted against USC's SOS.

Both sucked, but unless you're Michigan, any BCS school should beat an FCS school.

The difference is Bama intentionally schedules those patsies. Wazzu and Washington are traditionally decent programs (UW even won a NC) that got pulled into a vortex of suck.

i know. but, this doesn't change a single thing about the actual games that were played this season....and the washington schools were an embarrassment. Intentions should have no bearing on the SOS argument, just what actually happened.

Also, remember that you said that UW is usually decent when Trojan fans bash LSU next year for opening at UW.

Washihgton this year is MUCH worse than than Mich last year. Washington didn't even want to play, they quit.

It is actually, considering an FCS team never has/will win a championship at the top level.

Good Lord, here we go again.

1-Washington, once a dominant program. You're comparing the FCS crap on Bama's schedule to Washington. Washington's down this season, will probably get a lot better in a hurry now that Sark's headed to Seattle.

The FCS crap on Bama's schedule? Not so much.

Jeez.

Nobody is on the Utah over USC bandwagon more than than me. let's look at this objectively:

1. Utah undefeated. USC not.
2. Utah beat three ranked teams (or is Oregon State now unranked ); USC two.
3. Utah played in a conference that was 6-1 against USC's conference. Statistically, the MWC was as good or better than the the Pac10.
4. And oh yeah, Utah beat the team that beat USC.

If you replace "Utah" and "USC" with Team A and Team B. Can anybody give me a rational, objective reason Utah should be behind USC?

it is funny that the common opponent/on the field thing is hotly debated in the okie-texas argument .. but totally ignored in the USC-Utah debate ..

Not a valid comparison. No HC is going to make a difference as long as that fruitcake Al Davis is in charge. Kiffin jumped for the money, got it and is in a better place.

He'll do better at UT than you'll want him to.

That's because Utah never played USC this season. There's the difference.

Penn State rolled Oregon State at home.
Oregon State got us by 6 at Corvallis.

Does that make Penn State better than USC?
At least we'll get to play them and find out.
If they beat us, I'll be the first to congratulate you on one instance of the "transitive property" working in favor of your
argument. As a rule though, it's quite innaccurate.

Is it me, or did Bama actually hire Washington State's head coach in this decade?

so the fact that a mediocre Bama can steal WSU's coach is supposed to be a big positive for WSU/Pac-10? fwiw, Bama also hired Shula and Dubose in the same 5 year period......
