Fair enough. For a while there with the Shanahan it seemed like the Broncos could put anyone back there and be productive.

Holmes only had 120 more attempts than Davis, and only started 5 more games over his career. Close enough for me to compare.

he has over 2200 more yards from scrimmage, and 29 more TDs.

Those Chiefs teams with Trent Green and Priest Holmes were very fun to watch.

Yeah I get that... But that also is a big reason why Holmes had a longer career as well. 1780 attempts in his career with 15.8carries per game. TD had 1655attempts in his career, but had 21.2carries per game. Holmes averaged 72.3ypg, compared to TDs 97.5ypg.

And I'm not trying to say Holmes was bad or anything like that. Holmes was a beast, 1 of the more underrated RBs out there. Just saying that comparing stats doesn't always tell the entire picture. Holmes was a monster though, ran incredibly hard every time he touched the ball. Was a blast to watch.

Holmes was a backup his first few years, Davis was never backup.

Holmes averaged 21 carries a game as a starter.

It's also why Davis has a higher ypg. he was never a backup. You're seemingly dividing yards for Holmes in games he barely played. Makes no sense dude.

And that was exactly my point when Lester made the blind stat comparison between the 2. Holmes got those stats over a 10year, 113game career and TD had them over a 7year, 78game career.

And look at Terrell Davis carries the last 3 years of his career... 67, 78, and 167. Those were his amount of carries of his last 3 seasons.

And a random fun fact... When looking up Priest Holmes stuff, I came across an article about Larry Johnson...

Who ended up being a DJ at strip clubs in Miami. And he DJed at Tootsies, which is the same strip club that Aaron Hernandez was at on the night when he shot his friend Alex Bradley.

Random connection

not sure why you are caught up on this. Holmes has 120 more carries, which is equivalent to about 5-6 games worth.

How is he not in the PRO Football HOF? 145 TDs 25K Yds

NFL=
Rushing= 8,225 yards 61 TDs
Receiving- 4,859 yards 21 TDs
Returns= 5,084 2 TDs

USFL=
Rushing- 5,562 yards 54 TDs
Receiving= 1,484, 7 Tds

His combined rushing numbers for the USFL and the NFL (13,787 yards) would place him 5th All-Time on the NFL's career rushing list. His combined all purpose yards for the USFL and the NFL (25,283 yards) would place him 1st All-Time on the NFL's list.
