One of my favorite things to happen in all of sports this year is that Sainz got two podiums with Williams and Lewis got none at Ferrari.

Sainz is a pretty cool guy. Very professional the way he handled it and glad he ended up on top.

Part of me wants to hate Lewis because he can seem like a drama queen, but I have so much respect for drivers who came from nothing and rose to the top. Same with Raikonnen (the Mike Leach of F1), Vettel, Schumacher, and Alonso.

This clip of his father still gives me goosebumps, what a man: LINK

Then Checo fricked around in Monaco and found out. He was treated appropriately. Max is the greatest driver we will likely see in our lifetime.

Appreciate you being such a massive F1 fan, I see your points and I may be biased. But I’m not convinced that you can tell Checo crashed on purpose through telemetry data. Seems like you know your shite, so I’m actually interested in how you can tell based on telemetry data.

Throttle/braking response in that corner compared to practice rounds? Wasn’t as in tune as I am today at the time.

You say that and just when its getting good ratings plus a new US team -F1 decides to put F1 races solely on Apple TV. Nothing wrong with Apple but they just lost a huge viewing segment who won’t use Apple. Espn is evil but they carried every practice with only like 1 or 2 commercials and then every race was commercial free. Huge mistake as it was growing. They handed a layup to Indycar and Nascar. (Except the 5 Prime Nascar races).

The F1 app is worth every penny. Because of the timezone differences, I manage to not be pissed off when I get a qualifying alert at 6am.

Curious what you think Lewis should have done after being forced off?

He was ahead and it was his turn. Max left no room. Had Lewis slotted behind Max then Max would have had to give up the position for forcing someone off track.

As it was Lewis slowed down and gave up the advantage he gained after being forced off the track. If anything the way it worked out was better for Max at that point.

Everyone forgets Yuki sacrificing himself and openly admitting to doing it. Basically said he would do whatever it took to get Max to win...and he did it in Brazil.

I thought he was referring to Checo fricking Max's mom on the yacht.

Forgot about that… and ah, so that’s what happened. Was wondering why Max’s mom went apeshit on social media on Checo.

Jealous woman.

Reminds me of American attitudes towards F1. Little do they know, we’re an F1 country now with Charlotte and Indianapolis as incubators for Haas and Cadillac F1 development.

I look forward to seeing that take off in the next decade or so. Before you know it, we’ll all be drinking espresso. TD just doesn’t know it yet.

Telling you, the US has a lot of talent in NASCAR and IndyCar.

But it also doesn’t have the best karting scene historically. But if Max is right, get dad to buy you a $50k sim rig, and you can develop more talent over karting. I’m still not convinced of this, but who am I to question it? Especially as tech develops and gets cheaper…

F1 is killing NASCAR and Indy car with the presentation of the race weekends, the marketing and social media right now.

Hopefully they are both looking at what F1 has done and figures out how to accomplish the same success. The racing of NASCAR and INDYCAR are both better than F1. F1 has better cars and drivers though

NASCAR yes, but since Alex Palou showed up, IndyCar is very predictable.

Give the man an F1 seat already. Even at a shite team, I’d expect at least a few podiums from Palou.
