San Antonio is Cowboys country and Jerry Jones is not giving that up without a strong fight. Not happening

But I made my first trip to SLC earlier this year and really enjoyed it. With the way they support the Jazz coupled with the support for both CFB football teams, I bet NFL would do well.

I'm sure they'd do well in either market (full disclosure, I have some lingering enmity for the Jazz due to the old David Robinson/Karl Malone rivalry, but I'm trying to be a better person these days ).

SLC did lose their WNBA team to SA back in the day, though, so hopefully if it came down to those two, we'd win out in the end. People have been pining for an NFL team of our own for as long as I can remember.

Weird, there's someone on the Spurs roster that has that same damn problem.

Not to mention this WNBA wannabe:

We're fixing him. Coach Duncan's kicking that boy's arse in practice everyday like Kunta Kinte until he realizes his name is "Toby."

San Antonio is a great town

San Antonio may need a NFL team, but will never get one until there is expansion 3 more times. San Antonio is Cowboy country until the Jones' sell the team.

If the NFL was serious about putting minor League football back San Antonio is a natural fit for feeder of 3 teams Dallas, Houston, New Orleans.

The NFL should have a D League type system to allow Practice Roster players to get game action and a way to subsidize IR persons. It would also give QB a place to play, especially your emergency QB.

I think it works because a lot San Diego Chargers fan said they would not watch any Chargers game anymore. But when season started, they still arrange their weekends around Chargers games.

So you have not only 1 but 2 major cities not filling a 25k stadium?
