The Shaquille O'Neal/Wilt Chamberlain of NFL history, the guy who broke the mold and changed the game forever after, one of the most hyped pro prospects in league history who was passed over by the Saints for George Rogers in the 1981 NFL Draft (Bum and the Saints and George was great but he was a running back, impact on the game's not as immense as an elite outside backer) and fulfilled all those lofty expectations and then some, a guy who transformed an entire franchise and made them winners for the first time in a long while. Unfortunately, like Shaq, his lifestyle and approach to the game produced a shorter prime than it should've been (Shaq got lazy, LT went hard every play and his body broke down after 10 seasons plus his drug and alcohol issues). Should be a compelling doc, dude was simply a beast and never should be forgotten.

Sticking to football here fellas and his on-field greatness, no one's denying nor defending his off-field stuff during and after his career

And Rickey Jackson was right there with him, as a player.

He said she was a hooker that was hired, had no idea she was underage.

Best defensive player of all time per Hoodie. But a true low life off the field.

What distinguished LT from his contemporaries and predecessors at outside backer was the speed with which he blitzed and his ability to overpower linemen, thing was his blitz exploits coming out of Carolina were heralded before he was even drafted and apparently teams around the league were doing everything they could to acquire the Saints' no. 1 overall pick (which they used to take George Rogers for some reason, to be fair George was great but he's just a running back compared to an elite outside backer who can disrupt entire offenses) to draft him. GM George Young sat on a winner at 2 and the Giants never looked back for the next 10 seasons. His football career was in ways analogous to Shaq's pro basketball career: highly-touted phenom who could change the game, changes the game, wins accolades and dominates games, transforms losers to winners almost single-handedly, then body breaks down after a magnificent prime that should've been longer. I really don't think that's an unreasonable comparison to make despite the obvious difference in sports played. Just fascinating, dude really was Superman out on the football field at his very best.

If he went to the saints wouldn't have been as good. The 3-4 and belichick, parcels helped a ton.

Just got done watching Bobby brown bio pic. I'm excited to hear his story. Enjoyed Dexter Manley and Charles Haley also

When you're a transcendent defensive player, doesn't matter what configuration you play in or who's the coach dude was fricking Superman on the football field

Stats, awards, ability, eye test? I'm not in a cave, Peej, I can tell a player's great when I read stats in context and watch them play
