They seem to actually know their fanbase and don't defiantly throw a middle finger to them at every turn. Their corporate messaging doesn't involve endorsing domestic anarchist Marxist groups, they don't bend the knee to Wu Flu chicken little's, they're fighters are alpha AF. They air 2-4 cards a month, and they haven't fired or laid off anyone.

I'm not even a particular fan of Dana White, but he's nothing like these other corporate commissioners.

He even subtly talked shite for weeks after espn pulled the plug on his Indian Reservation fight. A situation he could not win.

It's basically the only sport I currently watch. That won't change when they fire up the SJFL and the Chynie Basketball Association. College football ain't looking good either.

I think it helps that so many of the fighters are foreign, a lot of them realize how good we have it in the US or don’t give a frick about US politics.

Have gotten back to 1993-1997, then 2005-2012ish level regular viewing the last few years.

It usually takes a few charismatic champs to draw me.

But, in 2020, Dana is the kind of Commish we all need.

Just my opinion, and its probably not welcome here, but I’ve never been a boxing or MMA fan even though I’m a huge football fan. I just can’t get into a sport where the objective is essentially to literally beat the shite out of your opponent. I get the gladiatorial aspect of it, but I think that may be the turn-off for me. Again, JMO.

Yeah it’s been pretty awesome. The prelim and undercard fights in most of the cards have been stacked with up and comer matchups and the fights have been dynamite. Dana White and the matchmakers have been crushing it.

Bob Arum: “For me, I look at the UFC audience and the boxing audience as being two different audiences entirely. Our audience in boxing is ethnic. Hispanic, Filipino, Puerto Rican, Mexican. UFC are a bunch of skinhead white guys watching people in the ring who also look like skinhead white guys. It's horrible. Guys rolling around like homosexuals on the ground. It is not a sport that shows great, great talent.”

Me. And I watch golf. Was gonna give baseball a chance but didn’t even get past their scrimmages before the Giants made it political.

I've been watching MMA since the earliest days of UFC1, where no gloves were used. Start there to really appreciate it and the GOAT of all time Royce Gracie.

Never thought in a million years I’d become a UFC fan, but I have become a big fan during this pandemic. The fighters seem to all respect one another a great deal and it’s entertaining as hell. Love how they were the first to get back to normal as well. Also the lack of politics is a welcome change. They’ve made me a fan.
